JACKO

Keeper of Halloween

The Static drained the color and the sound right off the block. The pumpkins went dark and everybody hid. Jacko is flipping the fright back into a party, and he can’t do it without your kid.

The page that makes this different

Your kid is
in the book.

“You’re a Lil Homie too, grab a crayon, jump in!”

On page 9 Jacko stops, points straight out of the page, and drafts the reader into the crew. Every book in the series does it. The reader isn’t watching the story. They’re the one who finishes it.

What the Static does

It takes the color.
You put it back.

The Halloween block in full color

SIGNAL 0%

The Static isn’t a person. It’s what’s left when the color and the sound get taken out of a day. It has no face, and it has never made a single thing in its life. That’s exactly why it loses.

It never touches a kid on the page.

What the Holiday Cypher is

Nine holidays. Eleven heroes.
One villain.

Big Mama, Keeper of Thanksgiving

The Keepers

Every holiday has one. Saint Nick has Christmas. Big Mama has Thanksgiving. Jacko has Halloween. They’re the ones who keep the day from going quiet.

The Static, a looming hooded figure made of grey television static

The Static

It drains the color and the sound out of a holiday. It can only take. It can’t make anything, and that’s how you beat it: you make something.

The crew: four kids in Halloween costumes

The Crew, and you

Four kids who still hear the beat when everybody else has gone quiet. Cami carries the big crayon. And there’s one more seat in the circle.

Look inside

Fifteen pages. Here’s four.

Coloring page 1: Jacko on a Halloween night sidewalk with his glowing jack-o'-lantern
01 · Meet Jacko
Coloring page 6: the four kids standing together bravely on a dark block
06 · The crew stands tall
Coloring page 9: Jacko points at the reader
09 · You’re in it
Coloring page 12: the block party with everyone dancing
12 · The party’s back

Bold outlines, big open shapes, one scene per page. Built for crayons and markers, not colored pencils. And hair is drawn as strands and sections with white interiors, so a kid can actually color their own afro, puffs, twists or braids. Most coloring books get that wrong.

The Cypher Calendar

One holiday at a time,
all year long.

Cover of THE FULL CYPHER, the finale, showing all fourteen characters

The finale

The Full Cypher

When every holiday has its color back, the whole crew shows up at once. Saint Nick, Big Mama, Free, Midnight and everybody else, in one last circle. Coming when the series is done.

Is this too scary for my 8-year-old?

It’s fun-scary, not scary-scary. Grinning pumpkins, a goofy monster, a shadow that turns silly. The Static has no face and never touches a child on the page. That’s a production rule, not a promise we made up for the website. No gore, no blood, no skulls.

Can I read it to a younger kid?

Yes. Every page has a four-line rhyming verse built to be read out loud. The 8+ on the cover is about the coloring detail, not the story.

Can I print the free pages for my class?

Yes. The free pages are yours to print for your own family or your own classroom.

Is the paper single-sided?

Yes. Every design has a blank back, so markers don’t bleed through onto the next scene.

When do the other books come out?

Saint Nick is next. We’ll email the list the day it’s ready. We don’t publish dates we can’t keep.
