JACKO

Keeper of Halloween

On Halloween night the Static creeps in and turns the fun-scary into real scary. The pumpkins go dark, the shadows grow teeth, and everybody hides. Jacko, the Keeper of Halloween, flips fright into a party with a beat and a glow, and he can’t do it alone. It’s gonna take the crew, and your kid.

For the grown-ups

The questions you’d actually ask.

Is this too scary for my 8-year-old?

It’s fun-scary, not scary-scary. Grinning pumpkins, a goofy monster, a shadow that turns silly. The Static has no face and never touches a child on the page. That’s a production rule, not a promise we made up for the website. No gore, no blood, no skulls.

Can I read it to a younger kid?

Yes. The 8+ on the cover is about the coloring detail, not the story. The verse works younger.

Will markers bleed through?

No. Every design has a blank back, so a marker that soaks through doesn’t ruin the next scene.

Can my kid color their own hair?

Yes, and this is the thing most coloring books get wrong. Afros, puffs, twists, braids and fades are drawn as outlined strands and sections with white interiors, never filled solid black. It’s enforced page by page.

When does the next book come out?

Saint Nick is next. We’ll email the list the day it’s ready. We don’t publish dates we can’t keep.
